A long time coming

Looks like I've been hibernating from writing something on the blog, this is the first time in a very long time that I've written anything on the site so here goes.
As always the plot would be very boring without my little helpers carrying a bare root minarette apple tree.
It is the second year that I have asparagus in and have not picked anything from it, hopefully next year they will be perfect for the picking.
I was surprised by how quick a spear grows, the pictures below was taken a week apart:
I've inherited a grape vine that is growing on an old fruit cage, last year when i was pruning it I weaved the vine onto the fruit cage with the hope of creating a little picnic area for my little helpers.
I've then done one better and removed some decking from home to build a little area for them to sit and enjoy a snack after a hard day watching me digging holes.
